The Complete WOVI Checklist
The single biggest reason people fail a Written-Off Vehicle Inspection is incomplete paperwork. This checklist covers everything the Queensland assessor wants to see - download the free PDF and tick it off before inspection day.
A WOVI is as much a paperwork check as a physical inspection. The assessor needs to confirm the vehicle's identity, that the recorded damage has been repaired, and that every safety-critical part is genuine or properly certified. If you can't prove it, it didn't happen.
Identity and ownership
- Photo identification (driver licence)
- Your customer reference number (CRN)
- Proof of purchase (auction invoice, receipt or contract)
- Any transfer or ownership paperwork
Parts and repair documentation
- Tax invoices for all new parts fitted
- Receipts for second-hand parts, with donor vehicle details
- Documentation for airbags and seatbelt pretensioners
- Receipts for structural and panel repairs
- Wheel alignment and chassis measurement reports where relevant
Photographic evidence
- Photos of the original damage (before repairs)
- Photos during the repair, showing parts being fitted
- Photos of completed repairs
- Close-ups of replaced safety components and VIN/compliance plates
